iEARN-Belarus reaches 120 educators as part of Adobe Youth Voices Program

In last 5 training sessions we have managed to reach out to over 120 educators from various regions of Belarus. National Adobe Youth Voices workshop in Romania, May 25-26

The gathering will be held at Elena Doamna College. Students and teachers involved in Adobe Youth Voices will share their work and experience in the program this program year.

iEARN Adobe Youth Voices team in Brasil featured on Rede Globo television

Adobe Youth Voices in BrasilEducator Ivo Marçal and a team of youth at Centro Interescolar de Línguas de Ceilândia who produced a video called Urban Tribes as part of the Adobe Youth Voices program were featured on Rede Globo – the most popular Brazilian television network – in May.

The news report was broadcast from the local network studios as the last episode from a series of five reports on successful educational projects in Distrito Federal (the Federal District), Brasília. The team talked about their experiences during their creation process, as well as their excitement and expectations about going to the USA.

They will be traveling to California in August 2011 for the 2011 Adobe Youth Voices Summit, which will bring together educators and youth people from across the Adobe Youth Voices global network.

2nd Annual Adobe Youth Voices Media Festival at the 2011 iEARN Conference and Youth Summit

Adobe Youth Voices Media FestivalWe are pleased to announce that the Adobe Youth Voices program will be sponsoring a special Adobe Youth Voices International Media Festival at the 2011 iEARN Conference and Youth Summit in Taiwan, Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in the Grand Auditorium.  The festival will highlight selected youth-produced media created by young people in the Adobe Youth Voices program in iEARN over the past year, and may also feature sample media created by youth across the entire Adobe Youth Voices global community.

In order to have work considered for the film festival, participating iEARN Adobe Youth Voices teams must submit an online copy of their work no later than June 1st to be reviewed by the festival’s international selection committee.

Login to the Adobe Youth Voices Community Site and submit your completed Adobe Youth Voices youth-produced media in the iEARN Adobe Youth Voices Media Gallery  [you will see an option to "Post" at the right side of the page]  As part of the submission process, you will be asked to fill out a form with background info about your media project(s).  If you are a trained Adobe Youth Voices educator and have not yet registered for the Adobe Youth Voices Community website, you can do so at adobeyouthvoices.org/join/iearn

iEARN-Oman hosts regional AYV workshop, March 28-29

Adobe Youth Voices trainingiEARN-Oman hosted a regional 2-day Adobe Youth Voices workshop on March 28-29, 2011 focused on using Adobe Premiere in the implementation of online projects, with a focus on preparing educators to work with students to create Adobe Youth Voices media.  The workshop covered the difference between planning, production and editing, and also opportunities for showcasing youth-produced media locally and globally.  See a report in Arabic.

AYV Workshops in Mexico City

AYV MexicoBetween February 14 – April 10, 2011, iEARN-Mexico’s AYV team is hosting twice weekly 2-hour workshops/help sessions for AYV Online Course participants at the Human Rights Commission.   See more photos.  They are also planning to host an workshop for AYV participants on March 26th from 12-5pm, again at the Human Rights Commission.

Adobe Youth Voices workshop in Cairo, Egypt, February 13 – 14, 2011

iEARN-Egypt Workshop, February 2011An Adobe Youth Voices workshop was held in Cairo, Egypt on February 13 – 14, 2011 at the Associations Union – Cairo.  The workshop included training of 9 teachers in 6 schools from different governorates.  The trainer was Ms. Sahar Farouk Gad – Trainer and Quality & Training Unit Supervisor in Zahran Experimental Language School.   To further their professional development in AYV, participating educators are also enrolled in an 8-week online course for educators participating in AYV from 16 countries.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/iearnusa/tags/ayvegypt2011/show/

AYV Workshop in Cairo, Egypt, February 12-14, 2011
